Lego Reports Strong Revenue Growth in First Half of 2024, Sees Long-Term Potential in China #
Lego, the Danish toymaker, announced a 13% increase in revenue for the first six months of 2024, reaching 31 billion Danish krone, or about $4.65 billion. The company attributes its growth to the success of its Lego Icons and Lego Creator series, as well as its partnership with Epic Games’ Fortnite. Despite a sales slump in the toy industry due to inflation, Lego has managed to gain market share. While consumer spending in China has decreased, Lego remains optimistic about the long-term potential in the region. The company is committed to sustainability and is increasing its use of renewable and recyclable materials in its products. Lego aims to source half of its raw materials sustainably in the coming years.
